Rachel B. Mason, affectionately known as “Rai”, is a sought-after celebrity hairstylist, entrepreneur and 3x Daytime Emmy Award winner located in Los Angeles, CA. Rachel’s passion for hair grew while learning about their business from her beloved father.

Rachel’s path to hair began at age 14. The daughter of a hairstylist, Rachel grew up in a salon California. Starting out as the shampoo girl, she learned salon etiquette and hair care techniques from her hard-working father. Working alongside her father, Roy Bonner, Rachel also learned the “hustle of hair”. Deeply impassioned by hair, at 16 Rachel honed in on hair and began Cosmetology classes in high school. Once Rachel obtained her Cosmetology license, she learned how to style diversity in hair textures, styling, and care from other stylists.

A few years after she graduated Cosmetology school, Rachel’s mother-in-law introduced her to the entertainment side of hair. After landing an interview on a CBS soap opera, Rachel proved her range and talent by styling hair for Caucasian and African American actresses. This opportunity led to Rachel working on the “Young and Restless”, where she won her first Daytime Emmy Award, “The Real” where she won two Daytime Emmy Awards, “The Tyra Banks Show”, “Access Hollywood”, and currently, “This is Us”.

Over her 20+ year career, Rachel learned, not only how to style hair, but to care for it and the people who adorn her styles. Wherever she goes, Rachel brings integrity, a positive attitude, and humor. When Rachel’s hands aren’t in hair, she’s wrapping them around her kids and husband.
