Been wanting to change my hair for a while now but I am not sure what to do as of right now. So many options. I think I temporarily found a happy medium for my hair that I don't have to spend much time fussing with. It's rough out there for black girl and her hair, especially when she trying get her workout on and still maintain her flyness. Thankfully I do know what direction my hair will be going into next year with, shoooort!!! I'm soo ready. Such a liberating feeling. In between time I'm working on preserving my edges making sure they are in good condition before going short. So on this journey of mine I have discovered that I like rocking the head wraps and scarves along with my buns and top knots for a little preservation of my hair. This is good option for protective hairstyling. Less heat and thermal damage. It's not just about not stressing those edges, its also important to keep your tresses moisturized and fertilized if you will.

Key products for me are : Castor oil (cold press, not the black from ash but the yellowish almost clear) helps thicken hair; Daily Vitamin regimen; Carol's Daughter ~ Tui hair oil and Healthy Hair Butter or Marguerite's Magic (moisture for your hair); Mizani's edge control incase i want to show my edges.

Now these items may not work with all persons and there texture so use what you know works for you. I always say, "If it ain't broke don't fix it!"

So on my hair journey I have discovered rocking head scarves along with my top knots and buns have thus far been working out for a sista! There are so many ways you can tie them up, like a turban, head band, cinnabun or whatever is clever. It helps me preserve my edges. I recommend it, even if its in between hair appointments. All you need are some cute earrings, a little makeup and you are good to go!
